Death toll from Russia's July 14 attack on Myrnohrad rises to three

Rescue workers have recovered the bodies of two people from under the rubble of a high-rise building in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, that was hit in a Russian missile attack on July 14.

Yurii Tretiak, acting head of the Myrnohrad city military administration, told this to Suspilne.Donbas, Ukrinform reports.

"At 03:30, the bodies of the dead woman and man were removed from under the rubble. Emergency and rescue operations to search for the dead have been completed," Tretiak said.

He said that those killed were a married couple -- a 67-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man.

The Main Directorate of Ukraine's State Emergency Service in the Donetsk region said that seven people had been injured in the strike on the apartment building and seven more had been rescued.

"The rescue operation lasted one-and-a-half days. Emergency workers dismantled 130 tonnes of rubble. Some 81 people and 20 units of equipment were involved in the work, including 70 personnel and 17 units of equipment from Ukraine's State Emergency Service," the State Emergency Service said.

On July 14, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region, hitting an administrative building and an apartment building. Earlier reports said that one person had been killed and six injured in the attack.
