Stefanishyna: Ukraine interested in maintaining strong bipartisan support in US
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Regardless of the names of the candidates of the Democratic and Republican parties, the first pillar on which President Volodymyr Zelensky's position is based is the preservation of strong bipartisan support. This must be maintained under any circumstances; tremendous efforts will be made to do so,” she said.
Stefanishyna also expressed her belief that the call to US presidential candidate Donald Trump shows that Zelensky is “acting in the best interests of the state.”
As Ukrinform reported, Zelensky had a conversation on Friday with former White House chief of staff, now the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
On Sunday, US President J. Biden withdrew from the presidential election and invited Democratic Party supporters to support the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris.
