Russia upping pressure in Kramatorsk axis: Ukraine repels nine assaults, 13 in progress

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

Settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions close to the border with Russia continued to suffer from Russia’s cynical shelling. Today, the enemy launched an Kh-59 missile at Konotop.

"At the same time, Kharkiv region is under constant bombardment by enemy aircraft. Since the beginning of the day, the Russians have launched 11 airstrikes from the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino. They targeted the areas of Chernyaki, Vesele, Lyptsi, Mali Prokhody, Hlyboke, Karaichne and Pytomnyk. The enemy’s Iskander-M missile hit the town of Derhachi," the General Staff wrote.

Kharkiv axis: the Russians launched six unsuccessful attacks near Hlyboky and Vovchansk.

Kupiansk axis: the enemy attacked Ukraine’s positions near Berestove and Hlushkivka six times. One battle is over, five more battles are in progress.

Lyman axis: the Russian army launched assaults near the settlements of Torske, Novoserhiivka, Makiivka, as well as in the Serebryansk forest area. Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks, one of which is still ongoing near Makiivka.

Siversk axis: the enemy attacked seven times in the vicinity of Verkhniokamyanske, Vyimka, Spirne, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Pereizne. The Ukrainians have repelled six assaults, another battle is ongoing.

Kramatorsk axis: the Russians are increasing their pressure on the area. Since the beginning of the day, they have run 22 assault operations near Bondarne, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Minkivka, Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Bila Hora, Ivanivka, and Klishchiivka. Ukraine’s defense forces repelled nine attacks, 13 more are ongoing. Enemy losses are being verified.

Toretsk axis: the invaders attacked nine times near Toretsk, Zalizne, New York, and Pivnichne. Eight battles have been completed, one is still ongoing.

Pokrovsk axis: the Russians launched assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novo-oleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, Panteleimonivka, New York, Lozuvatske, Timofiivka, Prohres, Vovche, Yasnobrodivka, and Umanske. The defense forces restrained the onslaught, having repelled 17 attacks, while nine clashes are ongoing. Enemy losses are being verified.

Kurakhove axis: the enemy attacked 10 times near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Paraskoviivka. Seven battles have been completed, and three are still ongoing.

Orikhiv axis: the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses near Robotyne, failing to achieve any gains.

Prydniprovia axis: the enemy was also unsuccessful, having twice attacked Ukraine’s defense lines on the left bank of the Dnipro.

In other axes, the situation has not undergone significant changes, the General Staff added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, over 900 combat clashes took place on the frontlines in the past week. In the Pokrovsk axis alone, Ukraine’s defense forces repelled 237 assaults.
