Sikorski calls on EU countries to lift ban on Ukraine's use of long-range weapons
Sikorski said this after a Council meeting on Monday, Ukrinform reports, citing PAP.
According to Sikorski, granting Ukraine such a right will prevent Russian missile attacks against Ukraine and this will be the realization of Kyiv's right to self-defense.
"This would be fully self-defense, which is legal under international law. Defending children's oncology hospitals is not escalation," Sikorski said.
He added that during a video conference on Monday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba admitted that the situation in Ukraine was very difficult.
Sikorski noted that he had also supported the Czech proposal that new Russian passports must be biometric, which would complicate various actions of the Russian authorities.
