Fire broke out in ecopark near Kharkiv due to shelling, injuries reported
This is reported on the Feldman Ecopark's Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.
“Last night, a large-scale fire broke out in the territory of Feldman Ecopark as a result of enemy shelling. No explosions were recorded on the territory of the park, but probably due to the fall of the wreckage of Russian attack drones, the building of the stables and the guest houses located next to it caught fire,” the post says.
Employees of the complex who were spending the night nearby rescued the animals.
“Thanks to the selfless and professional actions of our employees, the animals were not injured in the fire: they took all the horses out of the burning stables, risking their own lives. These are truly heroic actions: the wooden building caught fire instantly and the situation was critical,” the park says.
The employees were injured while saving the animals.
“Unfortunately, there are two victims, one of the employees was hospitalized and is being treated by doctors. We are sincerely grateful to the employees of the State Emergency Service, who promptly arrived at the scene, provided assistance to our employees and extinguished the fire,” the Ecopark added.
According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region, the total area of the fire amounted to about 1500 square meters.
