Number of injured from shelling of industrial area in Kharkiv increases to nine
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“According to the investigation, on July 24, the Russian Armed Forces conducted massive strikes on industrial facilities in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. Buildings and premises of the enterprises were damaged. Windows were smashed in nearby apartment buildings. Nine people were injured,” the post reads.
According to preliminary data, the strike on Kharkiv was carried out by an Iskander missile.
A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched.
As reported, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have fired four times at Kharkiv: at 5:15 a.m., 12:12 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. In the Nemyshlianskyi district, the office of the Swiss foundation FSD, which is engaged in humanitarian demining, was hit by a rocket attack. An administrative building, a transport company, residential buildings, and cars were damaged. In Kholodnohirskyi, an industrial area was hit, six residents were injured, infrastructure was destroyed and cars were damaged.
At 4:45 p.m., a bomb struck a private residential sector in the center of the city. Three men were injured.
The air alert in Kharkiv has been in effect since 6:31 p.m. on July 23.
