NATO responds to wreckage of Russian Shahed found in Romania

On Thursday, NATO reacted to the wreckage of a Russian-origin Shahed kamikaze drone found in Romania, saying there were no signs of a deliberate Russian attack on an Alliance member state.

After the discovery of the drone wreckage, the Alliance spokesman said that there were no signs of a deliberate Russian attack on NATO territory.

At the same time, NATO pointed to “irresponsible and potentially dangerous” cases of Russian UAVs entering Romanian airspace.

However, NATO said it pointed to "irresponsible and potentially dangerous" incidents of Russian drones entering Romanian airspace.

According to him, in recent days, the Alliance has stepped up monitoring and surveillance measures, including air patrols.

As reported by Ukrinform, on July 24, in the Romanian district of Tulcea, the wreckage of a “Geranium 1/2” (Shahed) kamikaze drone of Russian origin was identified.
