War update: 122 combat clashes on front lines in past day

As many as 122 combat engagements with Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines on Friday, July 26.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 08:00 on Saturday, July 27, Ukrinform reports.

Yesterday the enemy launched a missile strike against Ukrainian positions and populated areas using a missile and 80 airstrikes using 117 guided aerial bombs.

The Russians also launched 4,636 shelling attacks, including 71 using multiple rocket launchers.

The Russian army carried out airstrikes outside the settlements of Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Tykhe, Hlyboke, Vesele, Vovchanski Khutory, Synkivka, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and Starytsia in the Kharkiv region, Lyman, Siversk, Chasiv Yar, Pivnichne, Druzhba, Oleksandropil, Novoselivka Persha, Ivanivka, Krasnohorivka, Toretsk, Lysychne, Zhelanne, Karlivka, Verkhniokamianske, Niu-York, Ukrainsk, Maksymilianivka, Kostiantynivka and Katerynivka in the Donetsk region, Mala Tokmachka, Lobkove, Huliaipole and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Tiahynka in the Kherson region.

On July 26, Ukrainian combat aircraft and missile and artillery forces launched three strikes on areas where Russian troops were concentrated and hit an artillery system, two radars and a Buk air defense system.

In the Kharkiv sector, ten combat clashes were recorded near Hlyboke, Slobozhanske and Vovchansk.

Seven enemy attacks were recorded in the Kupiansk sector in the past day. Ukrainian forces repelled enemy assaults near Synkivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched 12 attacks near Nevske, Novoserhiivka, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka and in the Serebriansky forest.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three assaults by Russian invaders near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Darivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched five attacks near Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy, with the support of aircraft, carried out 19 attacks near Pivnichne, Zalizne, Niu-York and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 37 assaults near Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Tymofiivka, Novoselivka Persa, Vesele, Vovche, and Yasnobrodivka. The greatest concentration of enemy attacks was recorded near Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Netailove, Karlivka, and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian defenses.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russian army carried out six assaults near Staromlynivka, Vodiane and Kostiantynivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invaders made seven attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions near Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne and Novoandriivka.

In the Dnipro River sector, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Tiahynka area.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were recorded in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russians maintain a military presence and continue shelling populated areas from their territory.
