Russians killed 564 children in Ukraine

Russian invaders have killed 564 children and injured at least 1,487 since the start of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Telegram.

"More than 2,051 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of 28 July 2024, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 564 children were killed and more than 1,487 were injured of varying severity," the statement said.

Children were most affected in the following regions: Donetsk - 567, Kharkiv - 407, Dnipro - 161, Kherson - 159, Kyiv - 131, Zaporizhzhia - 123.

On 27 July, a 14-year-old boy died as a result of hostile shelling in the town of Hlukhiv, Shostka district, Sumy region. Six more boys aged 12 to 16 were wounded.

On 27 July, a 13-year-old girl was injured during the shelling of the town of Myrhorod in Donetsk Oblast.

On the morning of 28 July, three children were injured as a result of shelling by Russian troops in Komashany, Kherson region: a girl aged 10 and two boys aged 15 and 17.

As reported by Ukrinform, on 27 July, a 14-year-old boy who was wounded in the shelling of the centre of Hlukhiv, Sumy region, died in hospital.
