Defence forces use effective ways to counter Russian cruise missiles - Navy
This was stated by Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, on the air of the United News telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"During the period of the full-scale invasion, the Armed Forces have studied this weapon [Russian cruise missiles] and are using successful ways to counter it. For example, when the enemy uses missiles as a separate type of weapon, sometimes the rate of their downing reaches 100%. In addition, the technical characteristics that the enemy declared before the use of missiles differ from the actual characteristics," the navy spokesman said.
Pletenchuk added that the situation in the water area has been unchanged for quite some time. As of today, there are no Russian warships in the Sea of Azov, and there is one submarine in the Black Sea that can carry up to 4 cruise missiles.
As reported by Ukrinform, as of Sunday morning, 28 July, there was one Kalibr carrier in the Black Sea, with a total volley of up to 4 missiles.
