General Staff confirms strikes on Russian power substations in Kursk region
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
According to the General Staff, “there is information about the work in the field of enemy air defense systems and explosions in the areas of at least four substations. As a result, there are power outages in the Ponyrovsk, Kursk and Solntsev districts of the Kursk region.”
The strike was carried out by the forces and means of the Special Operations Center “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU Center “A”) in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces.
The General Staff states that Russian industry working for the war against Ukraine is a legitimate target for Ukrainian troops.
These facilities, among other things, ensure the functioning of the Russian railroad, which transports weapons and military equipment to support its army.
“Measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the enemy will continue until the invaders stop their armed aggression against the Ukrainian people,” the General Staff emphasizes.
As reported by Ukrinform, on July 28, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck at the Polyova oil depot in Kursk region, which is used to meet the needs of the Russian armed forces.
