Zelensky receives briefing from CinC Syrskyi on frontline situation
Zelensky reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"The general situation on the front, the defense of our positions. The Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions remain the most challenging. I am grateful to every unit that destroys the occupiers and restrains the Russian advance," the Head of State stressed.
According to the President, there are notable defensive results on the Zaporizhzhia front.
Zelensky also discussed with Syrskyi actions of Ukrainian units conducting operations in Kursk region aimed at inflicting significant losses on Russian territory.
The President also noted the importance of newly appointed officials who have already started fulfilling their duties: Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi, and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Apostol.
"We expect their effective service in their new positions, which will directly impact the enhancement of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," emphasized the President.
As reported by Ukrinform, on November 29, Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Mykhailo Drapatyi as Commander of the Ground Forces, replacing Oleksandr Pavliuk. Oleh Apostol became Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Additionally, the commander of the 93rd Brigade, Pavlo Palisa, was appointed Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
