General Staff reports 180 combat engagements along front lines, heavy Russian losses on Pokrovsk front

There have been 180 combat engagements on the front lines in Ukraine on December 3, with significant Russian losses in the Pokrovsk sector of the front.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported this on Facebook at 22:00 on December 3, 2024, according to Ukrinform.

"The situation in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors remains tense, with the enemy focusing its primary offensive efforts there. Additionally, Russian forces actively attacked today in the Vremivka and Kupiansk sectors," the report reads.

According to the General Staff, a total of 180 combat clashes occurred. The enemy launched 42 airstrikes using 47 guided bombs. Additionally, 650 kamikaze drones were deployed for strikes, and nearly 4,000 shelling incidents targeted Ukrainian positions and civilian areas.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces carried out six unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and Kozacha Lopan. Preliminary estimates indicate 58 Russian soldiers were killed or injured, and two vehicles were destroyed. Ukrainian forces downed seven drones and damaged a tank, two artillery systems, and three enemy vehicles.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times. Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 10 assaults near Lozova, Stelmakhivka, Kolisnykivka, and Pershotravneve. Six clashes are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops launched nine attacks on Ukrainian positions in Pershotravneve, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Yampolivka, and Terny.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three assaults near Stupochky, Bila Hora, and Chasiv Yar. Russian aviation struck Kostiantynivka.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy made three attempts to improve their positions near Toretsk and Nelipivka, all of which were repelled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces

In the Pokrovsk sector, the invaders launched 44 attacks near Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Dachenske, Chumatske, and Novopustynka. Six battles rare underway.

Preliminary estimates indicate that Russian forces lost 395 personnel (killed and wounded) in this area today. Ukrainian troops destroyed seven armored vehicles, two artillery systems, three motorcycles, and an enemy vehicle. Additionally, they inflicted significant damage on a tank, an artillery system, and another armored vehicle.

In the Kurakhove sector, 38 Russian attacks were recorded, with four still ongoing. Fighting is concentrated around Sontsivka, Zoria, Dalnie, Kurakhove, Yelyzavetivka, and Hannivka.

In the Vremivka sector, the enemy launched 23 assaults on Ukrainian defensive lines in the areas of Kostiantynopolske, Sukhi Yaly, Rozdolne, Makarivka, and Novodarivka. Six engagements are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, four enemy attacks in the areas of Robotyne, Novodanylivka, and Novoandriivka were repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy attempted five attacks, all unsuccessful.

In Russia’s Kursk region, Ukrainian forces countered 20 enemy attacks, with six clashes still underway.
