“At yesterday's NATO-Ukraine Council, I also stressed the importance of bolstering Ukraine's military capacities. The Netherlands is allocating an additional EUR 22 million to projects aimed at Ukraine's air defense and cyber resilience via NATO,” the Foreign Minister wrote.
Veldkamp added that Russia's actions directly threaten NATO. In this regard, he mentioned “the build-up of military presence, airspace intrusions, and acts of sabotage.”
“We should be equally concerned about third countries enabling Russia's war machine. This demands a more robust and coordinated response from NATO and its Allies. Above all, we must stay the course when it comes to supporting Ukraine. There simply is no alternative,” the Foreign Minister emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, the Netherlands recently supplied Ukraine with three launchers for the Patriot air defense system.
