Finland provides EUR 25 million aid package to Ukraine

On Thursday, Finnish President Alexander Stubb decided to provide Ukraine with a new aid package worth 25 million euros, which will include winter gear for the Ukrainian military.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the website of the Finnish Ministry of Defense.

“Finland has now delivered defence materiel to Ukraine to a total value of EUR 2.3 billion. This time the package contains winter equipment for Ukrainian troops, for example. Finland is one of Ukraine’s strongest supporters, and we have no plans to change that,” said Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.

It is noted that the 26th aid package will be provided to Ukraine in early 2025.

The Finnish Ministry of Defense did not provide more detailed information on what will be included in the aid package and the method or schedule of its delivery “for operational reasons and to ensure the delivery of the cargo to its destination.”

As reported by Ukrinform, on October 18, it became known that Finland would provide a new aid package within the framework of cooperation in the energy sector.
