Russians deny IAEA team access to spare parts warehouse, fuel storage at ZNPP
According to Ukrinform, this was stated by Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in an update on the situation in Ukraine.
"The IAEA team continues to be denied access to the external spare parts warehouse and diesel fuel storage facility," the statement noted.
The Russian occupational administration informed the IAEA experts that a diesel fuel storage tank, which had been damaged more than two years ago, has been repaired.
The IAEA also stated that it is closely monitoring the ongoing maintenance activities at the Russian-occupied ZNPP, including safety systems for reactor units 2, 3, and 6.
"The IAEA team at the ZNPP has continued to hear explosions on most days, mostly at distances far away from the site, and no damage to the plant was reported," the statement added.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Russian occupational administration at the Zaporizhzhia NPP regularly obstructs full access for IAEA experts to the entire facility.
