Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to allocate additional funds to support brigades in acquiring more drones.

The head of state stated this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.

Zelensky said that he had received a report from Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi on the battlefield situation, the defense of Ukrainian positions, the situation in key operational sectors, and the Kursk operation.

Zelensky added that there was also a separate update from Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa regarding the amount of direct funds allocated to brigades specifically for the additional procurement of drones.

"A decision was recently made on the sum of these direct funds, but it's now clear that the amount is still insufficient. I have instructed the prime minister to increase funding for the brigades significantly in the coming days," he said.
