The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has approved the Droid TW 12.7, a robotic combat system, for use in Ukrainian military units.

The system, which operates on a tracked platform and is armed with a Browning 12.7 mm machine gun, has been validated through combat tests for its reliability, Ukrinform reports, citing the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service.

The Droid TW 12.7 is remotely controlled via a tablet and uses digital communication for operation. Its tracked platform enables it to function in challenging conditions.

Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized the crucial role of technology in ensuring battlefield superiority, stating that the codification and approval of the Ukrainian robotic combat system, Droid TW 12.7, marks a significant step toward integrating innovations into the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"We are codifying models that become reliable tools for our defenders, helping them perform tasks in the most difficult conditions. Our advantage is a high-tech army capable of withstanding modern challenges," Klimenkov said.

Ukrinform reported earlier that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry codified over 120 types of weapons and military equipment for Ukrainian forces in November.
