Russian forces have launched three ballistic missile strikes on Zlatopil, a town in Ukraine's eastern Kharkiv region, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov announced this on Ukrainian television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"There were three strikes. They were ballistic missiles. Law enforcement officers and the military are still determining the exact type of missiles used. The civilian infrastructure has been seriously damaged. This is practically the center of the settlement, with banks, administrative buildings, and residential buildings nearby," Syniehubov said.

As a result of the strikes, ten people were injured. One woman is in serious condition, five others are hospitalized with moderate injuries, and two are in light condition. Two additional victims received medical care at the scene.

Syniehubov explained that Russian forces used a double-strike tactic.

"First, there was one strike, and after some time, when the emergency services arrived to address the consequences, two more missile strikes followed. The enemy aims to inflict maximum damage on civil services, including the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and emergency medical services. And it is targeting civilian objects," he added.

Early on December 10, Russian forces launched a missile attack on Zlatopil. By 10:30, eight people had been reported injured. A missile struck near a bank, damaging nearby non-residential buildings and civilian vehicles. The Russians launched a second strike shortly afterward, injuring two more people.
