Attack on Kyiv: security guard, 3 people in minibus killed

In Kyiv on the morning of January 18, a Russian missile attack killed a security guard at a catering establishment and three people in a minibus on the street.

According to Ukrinform, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Telegram.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in criminal proceedings over a war crime that caused the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

“Four people are currently known to have been killed - a security guard of a catering facility and three people who were in a minibus on the street in one of the capital's districts,” the OGP said.

The blast wave damaged the building of the business center, the entrance to the Kyiv subway station and the premises of the catering establishment.

Windows were blown out and the facades of residential buildings and at least 10 cars were damaged.

Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to record another war crime of the Russian Federation.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the SSU Main Directorate in Kyiv and Kyiv region.

Also, the Kyiv City State Administration, citing Kyivpastrans, reported that traffic on Yuriy Illienko Street was blocked from Ovrutska Street to Vyacheslav Chornovil Street.

Trolleybuses #6, 16, 18, 19, 28, 31, 33, 35 are running with changes in traffic because of this.

Traffic is temporarily organized as follows:

Trolleybus No. 19 runs from Kosmonavtiv Square - then along the route 22K to Olzhycha Street;

trolleybus No. 35 runs from Kadetskyi Hai str. Chokolivskyi - Vadym Hetman str. - Olena Teliha str. - Shchuseva str. and then on its own route;

trolleybus No. 31 will turn around via Beloruska str;

trolleybuses №№ 6, 33, 28 will turn around on Stepan Bandera Ave;

trolleybus No. 16 will run along the route No. 23;

trolleybus No. 18 in the direction of Lukianivka will run via Kyrylivska Street - Olena Teliha Street - Dorohozhytska Street - Beloruska Street.

Emergency services are working at the scene to eliminate the damage. Traffic is expected to resume after the repairs are completed.

The Kyiv City State Administration advised passengers to take these changes into account when planning their trips, as well as to follow safety rules during air raids.

As Ukrinform reported, earlier the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv said that a woman and two men were killed in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital as a result of a Russian ballistic attack on the morning of January 18.
