War update: 211 clashes on frontlines, situation tense in Pokrovsk axis
That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.
Yesterday, the Russians launched two missile strikes involving three missiles, as well as 40 airstrikes, dropping 56 KAB glide bombs.
In addition, the Russians carried out more than 4,000 artillery strikes, including 155 using MLR systems, and launched 1,410 kamikaze drones.
Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s aviation, missile and artillery units have hit 11 Russian manpower and equipment clusters, a command post, and 11 “important targets” that have not been named.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy twice tried to break through the Ukrainian defense lines near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, 14 Russian attacks were reported. Ukraine repelled assaults near Pishchane, Dvorichne, Hlushkivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Zahryzove.
In the Lymans direction, Russian troops attacked 16 times, trying to wedge into the defenses near Novoyehorivka, Novoliubivka, Kopanky, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders attacked 43 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Stupochky, Vasiukivka, Novomarkove, and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 20 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, Diliivka, Leonidivka, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukraine’s forces held back 88 assaults toward Vodiane Druhe, Baranivka, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Pokrovsk, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novoyelyzavetivka, Uspenivka, Sribne, Andriivka, Dachne, Ulakly, and Yantarne.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian troops went for three attacks toward Kostiantynopil.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russia four times stormed Ukraine’s positions in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovia direction Ukraine’s Defense Forces are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory, having successfully repelled three assault attempts.
In the Siversk and Huliaypole directions over the past day, the Russians ran no offensive missions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs were spotted of enemy offensive groupings being formed.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces pursue their raid into Russia’s Kursk region where over the past day, the Russians have launched 38 airstrikes, dropping 50 KAB bombs, and 436 artillery strikes, including 15 involving MLR systems. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 14 assaults in the area.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to January 2025 are estimated at 828,470, including 1,650 killed or wounded in action in the past day alone.
