Ukrainian forces down 40 Russian drones, 13 lost from tracking

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have shot down 40 Russian strike drones, including Shahed UAVs and other types, while 13 others were lost from radars.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Between 21:00 on February 1 and the morning of February 2, the Russian forces launched 55 strike drones, including Shahed UAVs and decoy drones, from the areas of Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The attack was countered by Ukrainian aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces.

By 9:00 on February 2, 40 enemy drones were confirmed shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions.

Additionally, 13 enemy decoy drones were lost from radar, causing no harm.

As a result of the Russian drone attacks, Kharkiv and Sumy regions sustained damage.

In particular, in Liubotyn, Kharkiv region, a man and a woman were injured due to a drone strike.
