Ukrainian forces shoot down 107 Russian UAVs, 97 disappear from radar

Ukraine's defense forces shot down 107 Russian drones, while another 97 disappeared from radar tracking.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Starting at 19:00 on Friday, February 27, Russians attacked Ukraine with 208 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones launched from the following areas: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups repelled the enemy air attack.

As of 09:00 on Friday, February 28, 107 drones were confirmed downed in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

As many as 97 enemy decoy drones were lost from tracking (without negative consequences).

The Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were subjected to enemy attacks.

As reported by Ukrinform, three apartments were destroyed in Zaporizhzhia as a result of a nighttime drone attack. The UAVs damaged multi-story buildings and private houses.
