Syrskyi visits National Guard positions on Kharkiv front
He announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Syrskyi assessed the operational situation, discussed key issues related to defensive stability, identified the troops' needs, and issued directives to address critical challenges.
He recalled that in May 2024, Russian forces launched a large-scale offensive in this sector, attempting to establish a "buffer zone" in northern Ukraine and capture Kharkiv.
"However, ten months later, the enemy remains trapped near Vovchansk and has been pushed northward in some areas," Syrskyi said.
He added that the Khartiia Brigade is among the key units holding the line and effectively eliminating Russian forces, utilizing drones and robotic systems in both defensive and offensive operations.
Over the past day, Russian forces launched five assaults on the Kharkiv front, targeting Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and Doroshivka.
