Russia strikes Ukrainian energy facilities eight times since March 18 – President’s Adviser

Russia has carried out eight attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure since March 18.

President Zelensky’s Adviser Dmytro Lytvyn shared the information on X, Ukrinform reports.

"Moscow is a city built on lies, no surprise to anyone in Ukraine. For example, in their statement after the meetings in Riyadh, the Russians claimed they believe a ceasefire on energy facilities has supposedly been in effect since March 18. Why March 18? Because that’s when they pushed out a clearly fake story claiming Putin supposedly ordered a stop to strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Now they just want to stay consistent in their lies and propaganda," Lytvyn wrote.

According to him, Russia has continued to target energy facilities with bombs, strike drones, and FPV drones even after March 18.

"We’re not going into all the details, but there have already been eight confirmed hits on energy facilities. And every night our air defense forces shoot down nearly a hundred attack drones – and many of those drones were likely targeting other energy facilities. Without our defenders, there could have been many more hits," the adviser emphasized.

Lytvyn added that the Russians lie even when the truth is obvious.

"The Russians are lying even when the truth is obvious. It’s just lying for the sake of lying. That’s why whatever they say or promise needs to be double-checked, and that part is now on our partners," he stated.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of making manipulative attempts to distort the agreements reached during the Saudi Arabia talks.
