Ukraine downs 28 Russian drones, seven decoy UAVs cause no damage

Ukraine’s air defense intercepted 28 drones Russia launched since Wednesday evening.

That’s according to the Ukrainian Air Force, Ukrinform reports.

“On the night of April 3, 2025 (from 21:00 on April 2), the enemy launched 39 Shahed attack UAVs and decoys of various types from Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Kursk in Russia,” the report reads.

As of 09:00, it has been confirmed that 28 Shaheds and drones of other types were shot down in the country’s north and east.

The air raid was repelled in a joint effort by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.

Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were affected in the attack.

Seven decoy drones, traditionally used to confuse and/or deplete Ukraine’s air defenses eventually disappeared from radar, causing no damage or casualties on the ground.
