CCD: Russian offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv not currently on table
According to Ukrinform, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, said this in a statement on Telegram.
According to him, one should not confuse the words about Sumy and Kharkiv regions with Sumy and Kharkiv.
“The Russians have indeed become more active in the direction of Sumy and Kharkiv regions for quite some time now. But we can't talk about an offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv at the moment. These are completely different things,” Kovalenko emphasized.
The words of the military should not be distorted, “they need to be interpreted correctly,” said the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commenting on President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement on the preparation of a new Russian offensive in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, said: “I can say that the President is absolutely right, and this offensive has actually already begun. Because for several days, almost a week, we have been observing an almost twofold increase in the number of enemy offensives on all major directions.”
