Over 260 Points of Invincibility have been deployed across the Chernihiv region, as the city and northern communities were left without power following Russia’s overnight strike on energy facilities.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“More than 260 Points of Invincibility have already been deployed across the region. People can charge their devices and warm up there,” Chaus said.

He noted that hospitals, social institutions, and public utilities are operating on a backup power supply. Water is available mostly up to the 4th–5th floors of residential buildings. For residents of high-rise buildings, public water taps have been opened, and water delivery has been organized to certain districts of the city.

According to the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, in some areas restoration work cannot yet begin due to the threat of renewed shelling. However, energy workers continue operations in safe locations to restore electricity as quickly as possible.

“All efforts are now focused on restoration and supporting the people,” Chaus emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, educational institutions in Chernihiv have been forced to adjust their operations due to power outages caused by Russian attacks.
