Russian airstrikes damage hospital Kherson region, patients evacuated
According to Ukrinform, the Kherson City Military Administration reported this on Telegram and released a video of the patient evacuation.
"Russian guided aerial bombs struck in Stepanivka today, damaging, among other things, a medical facility where people in need of special care and treatment are staying," the statement said.
As noted by the administration, "they had to be urgently evacuated from there. Resources of the hospital itself were used for this. The Kherson City Military Administration and volunteers from the NGO 'Strong Because Free' also joined the effort. Patients were taken to their families. If a person was alone, they were transported to one of the hospitals in Kherson," the administration reported.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on April 7 Russian forces attacked an emergency medical team with a drone in the Dnipro district of Kherson, injuring three medical workers. An hour earlier in the same district, two more medics were injured as a result of Russian shelling.
