President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian forces are carrying out brutal and cynical drone strikes against Ukrainian civilians.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky made the statement in a video address.

"Right now, the Russians are trying to scale up their 'safaris' against our people. There are brutal, deeply cynical drone strikes targeting civilians virtually every day in Nikopol, Kherson, and other cities and communities near the frontline. There have also been Russian drone strikes in the Chernihiv region – Pryluky and Novhorod-Siverskyi – as well as in the Kharkiv region," Zelensky said.

He emphasized that Ukraine must have the necessary tools—from sufficient funding to real weapons—to continue expanding its defense against Russia and to maintain the ability to justly bring the war back to Russia through long-range capabilities.

According to him, this is exactly what the authorities are currently working on.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, in Nikopol, 16 people were injured on the morning of April 7 after a drone struck a city minibus.
