Russian drones hit two gas stations in Sumy

Russian forces struck two fuel stations in the city of Sumy during a morning drone attack on May 30.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

During the night of May 29 to 30, Russian forces carried out a mass drone attack on Shostka. Residential and non-residential buildings, administrative facilities, and transport were damaged, the statement said.

Rescuers extinguished fires and inspected damaged areas at several locations simultaneously. Due to the threat of renewed strikes, operations were temporarily suspended.

In the morning, an enemy UAV hit one of the gas stations in Sumy, causing a fire. All fire hotspots were extinguished. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

"Today in the morning, the enemy targeted infrastructure facilities in Sumy. Enemy UAV strikes hit a gas station in the Kovpakivskyi district and a filling station in the Zarichnyi district of the city. The fire that broke out at one of the stations has been contained," the Sumy City Council said.
