On the night of May 31, 2026, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the "Saratovskyi" oil refinery, the "Lazarievo" linear production and dispatch station in Kirov Oblast, and other enemy targets.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook.

"On the night of May 31, 2026, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratovskyi oil refinery (Saratov region, Russia). A large fire on the plant's premises has been confirmed," the statement said.

It is noted that the Saratovskyi refinery is one of the key oil-processing enterprises in the Volga region and is part of the "Rosneft" oil company structure. The plant's designed processing capacity is about 7 million tonnes of oil per year. It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and other types of fuel used, in particular, to support the military logistics of the aggressor state. The extent of the damage is being clarified.

In addition, an important element of the aggressor's oil transportation infrastructure was hit - the "Lazarievo" linear production and dispatch station in Kirov Oblast, Russia, which pumps crude oil through the Surgut-Gorky-Polotsk trunk pipeline.

According to the press service, Ukrainian warriors also struck areas where enemy manpower was concentrated in Donetsk and Zhelanne in Donetsk Oblast.

The damage to three fuel and lubricants storage tanks in the area of the marine oil terminal in Feodosia (temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) on May 30, 2026, and to a gas storage facility in the area of Yenakiieve in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, has also been confirmed.

The General Staff noted that the facilities were used by the enemy to support the needs of the Russian occupation force.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 28 and during the night of May 29, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important targets in Russia, on the territory of the aggressor state itself, as well as in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions.
