During massive attack on Kyiv, Patriot system reportedly shoots down Zircon missile, says Ignat
According to Ukrinform, Yuriy Ignat, head of the Air Force Communications Department, noted this on Facebook.
"Another massive shelling of Kyiv—one of the largest in terms of the number of ballistic missiles. Air defense is deploying Patriots! Due to the enemy’s massive attack, unfortunately, there is destruction, casualties, and the Lavra is on fire... Ukrainians are photographing a fragment of a Patriot missile, which likely shot down a Russian Zircon tonight, and, without even realizing whose it is, are posting this photo online,” Ignat emphasized.
He also published screenshots from Russian Telegram channels showing how the enemy uses any Ukrainian content to promote its own narratives and propaganda: “Another lie, claiming that we fired on ourselves!”
As reported by Ukrinform, four people were killed, and more than 20 were wounded as a result of a massive Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 15.
