Four killed, 17 injured in Russian attacks on Donetsk region over past day

Russian forces launched 1,065 strikes across the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, killing four people and injuring 17 others. A total of 166 civilian facilities were damaged.

According to Ukrinform, the regional police reported this on Facebook.

“Damage was recorded at 166 civilian sites, including 144 residential buildings,” the statement said.

Ten populated areas came under fire: the towns of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, and Sloviansk; the settlements of Bylbasivka, Krasnotorka, Novodonetske, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, and Yasnohirka; and the village of Novobakhmetieve.

In Sloviansk, Russian forces struck with a KAB-250 guided aerial bomb, Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems, and drones. Three civilians were killed and eight others injured. The attacks damaged 117 private homes.

Kramatorsk endured 26 attacks involving six KAB-250 guided bombs, drones, and artillery. Four people were injured. Damage was reported to six apartment buildings, 10 private houses, an administrative building, an infrastructure facility, and civilian vehicles.

In Mykolaivka, four civilians were wounded and two apartment buildings were damaged.

One person was also injured when a Molniya-2 drone struck Novobakhmetieve.

According to the police, two apartment buildings were damaged in Druzhkivka, two private homes in Krasnotorka, a bus in Novodonetske, and a private house along with infrastructure facilities in Bylbasivka.

In addition, at 4:15 today, Russian forces attacked Druzhkivka with an FPV drone, killing one person. Kramatorsk also came under an overnight FPV drone attack, which damaged an apartment building and three civilian vehicles.

As reported earlier, the Donetsk region remains under constant Russian bombardment. Russian forces kill and injure civilians almost daily and continue to destroy homes, businesses, energy, gas, and other infrastructure facilities. The Donetsk region has the longest front line in Ukraine.
