Russians wary of Ukrainian paratrooper landings in Crimea and occupied Kherson region - spox Voloshyn
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, reported this in a statement to Ukrinform.
“In order to carry out reconnaissance and search missions and to destroy our unmanned boats and reconnaissance groups in the northern and northwestern parts of the Black Sea, the enemy plans to conduct reconnaissance and search operations in the coastal zone from Portove to Vitino. It plans to deploy several boat groups for these reconnaissance and search missions, utilizing nearly two dozen vessels from the Dnipro River Flotilla of the Black Sea Fleet,” Voloshin said.
As the spokesperson explained, the enemy is currently very wary that, following the so-called “middle strikes,” the Ukrainian Defense Forces will attempt to land sabotage groups in the temporarily occupied Crimea or in the temporarily occupied Kherson region.
As reported by Ukrinform, on June 16 and during the night of June 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a tanker belonging to the Russian shadow fleet in the Black Sea, a bridge across the North Crimean Canal in the Kherson region, as well as military logistics facilities and command posts of the Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
