Three people were wounded in Kherson region as result of shelling over course of day

In the Kherson region, three people, including a police officer, were wounded during the day as a result of Russian aggression.

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram.

“According to the investigation, on June 17, 2026, the Russian army shelled settlements in the Kherson region with barrel and rocket artillery, as well as various types of drones,” the statement reads.

As of 5:30 p.m., three people were injured as a result of the Russian aggression. Among them were a married couple from the village of Blahovishchenske, who were inside their home during the artillery shelling, and a police officer who was injured overnight in Kherson as a result of a drone attack.

In addition, private homes and apartment buildings, the premises of a dental clinic, and both official and private vehicles were damaged.

Also, according to the Regional Military Administration, a woman was taken to the hospital after being struck by a Russian drone strike in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson on the evening of June 15. The 48-year-old Kherson resident was diagnosed with blast trauma and concussion.

Medical assistance was also required for a resident of Pryozerne, whose yard was struck by a Russian shell on the morning of June 11. At the time of the attack, the 63-year-old woman was inside her home. She sustained blast trauma and concussion.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, pre-trial investigations have been launched into the commission of war crimes.

As reported by Ukrinform, over the past 24 hours, on June 16, Russian invaders used drones and artillery to strike 44 settlements in the Kherson region; two people were killed and 11 others were wounded.
