Firefighters extinguish major blaze in Sumy following Russian attack

Firefighters in Sumy have extinguished a large fire that broke out after another Russian strike on a civilian infrastructure facility.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported the incident on Telegram.

Russian forces struck a civilian infrastructure site, causing extensive damage to the facility. The attack sparked a major fire, with multiple vehicles also catching fire.

“The fire load was extremely high, which significantly complicated the work of rescuers,” the SES said.

While emergency crews were dealing with the aftermath of the attack, Russian forces launched a second strike on the same location. Fortunately, no SES personnel were injured.

As reported by Ukrinform, a Russian attack damaged a sorting hub operated by Nova Post in Sumy. No casualties were reported.
