Ukraine puts on wanted list spouse of Putin’s political ally
The wanted list register has been updated with Marchenko’s name on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ukrinform reports.
The person in question is charged under Article 110-2 Part 3 of the Criminal Code (Financing of actions committed for the purpose of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, altering the territory or state border of Ukraine - ed.)
As reported, on April 5, the SBU announced that based on its inquiry and in cooperation with the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court seized two more land plots and real estate objects that turn out to have been illegally owned by Oksana Marchenko. The total value of the property seized stands at almost UAH 17.5 million.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the SBU detained Viktor Medvedchuk on April 12, 2022, as the Russian FSB tried to extract the fugitive lawmaker to Russia via Transnistria.
In September 2022, the exchange of five commanders of the Azov Regiment released from Russian captivity took place in Ankara after Viktor Medvedchuk was transferred to Russia.
More than 200 Ukrainian defenders, as well as 10 foreigners, were returned from Russian captivity within the exchange effort on September 21. The released five commanders of the Azov Regiment are bound to stay in Türkiye until the end of the war.
