Ship with looted Ukrainian metal leaves Mariupol
Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko said this on Telegram and posted a photo from the port, Ukrinform reports.
"Piracy continues. Yesterday, an RS3 (river-sea vessel - ed.) class vessel loaded with rebar left Mariupol. Rebar was produced by the "DPR metallurgy" for a year. I think that before the war, 3.5 thousand tons were produced by the metallurgy of Donetsk region in about one shift - and here for a whole year... The first ship this year that did not carry grain," Andriushchenko wrote.
He noted that the invaders, strangely enough, had painted over the name of the vessel, although according to the observation and analysis of traffic, "it is the same Mezhdurechensk."
According to the mayor's advisor, there is another vessel in the port, it has been there for more than two weeks, deliberately hidden on the berth behind the elevator, which makes it impossible to identify it from the outside.
"It is impossible to get to the territory of his berth. It does not transmit data. The class is definitely bigger than RS3. We are still trying to find out what it is and why," Andriushchenko added.
He noted that so far no military or logistics use of this vessel has been recorded.
As reported, Russians continued to steal Ukrainian grain by sea. At the end of June this year, the Russian vessel Mezhdurechensk arrived at the port of Mariupol, brought concrete fortifications for fortifications and was loaded with grain.
Russia's aggression has caused one of the largest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. The city is almost 90% destroyed as a result of enemy shelling.
The enemy is turning the city and surrounding villages into a military and logistics hub.
