In Ukraine, since the beginning of 2024, the criminal police have detained 132 people on arson of vehicles.

This was announced on Facebook by Deputy Head of the National Police Andrii Niebytov, Ukrinform reports.

"How to quickly go to prison for 10 years? Burn a military vehicle. This "opportunity" has already been taken advantage of by some of our citizens who have become victims of the Russian PSYOP, which is being spread on the Internet. Among those who agree to the offer of arson are teenagers, people in financial difficulties, etc.", he noted.

According to Niebytov, the Russian special services are launching a bait, promising up to 80 thousand hryvnias for one burned car.

"Those who want to make easy money go for the crime, but in the end they will be severely disappointed: instead of a "big sum" they will get a meager amount of money (if they are paid anything at all) and a long prison term for a crime against the state," explained the deputy head of the National Police.

As reported, in Odesa, law enforcement officers detained a deserter who escaped from a military unit and set fire to a car belonging to a female soldier for 80 thousand hryvnias.
