
Explosion in central Rivne injures two people
As reported by Ukrinform with reference to the National Police, the incident occurred at around 14:40 on March 20 on Kyivska Street.
The explosion originated from a makeshift explosive being transported inside the vehicle. Police bomb technicians inspected the area, while an investigative team worked at the scene.
Later, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) classified the March 20 explosion in central Rivne as an attempted terrorist attack and launched a criminal investigation,
Law enforcement agencies are conducting a comprehensive investigation to determine all circumstances and identify the individuals involved.
The pre-trial investigation is underway under Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act), and Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives).
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 11, Russian intelligence allegedly detonated a homemade explosive in Ivano-Frankivsk, killing two of their own agents who were transporting the device near the railway station. The agents were reportedly 15 and 17-year-old local residents.
