Militants launched 60 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 60 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

The tensest situation was observed in Mariupol direction, where militants used small arms and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian positions in Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk). In addition, terrorists shelled ATO troops near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), using 82mm mortars.

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations launched attacks on Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using grenade launchers and small arms. Ukrainian strongholds outside Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) came under 82mm mortar fire.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants shelled ATO troops near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), using 120mm and 82mm mortars, small arms and grenade launchers. Ukrainian servicemen also came under infantry weapons fire outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk) and Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).
