Ukraine’s military units put on alert as Russia starts unexpected exercises
Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson for ATO Andriy Lysenko said this at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The response of the Ukrainian military department is adequate: we closely follow the deployment of troops, strengthen airspace control and control at the borders. We use all possible means and methods to follow these exercises so that they would not suddenly turn into an unexpected act of aggression," Lysenko said.
He noted that the Russian Federation conducted the so-called unexpected military training or exercises all the time and deployed its troops and equipment not only in the territory of Russia but also on the territory of Belarus "allegedly within the framework of joint exercises."
