Ukrinform
Russian-backed militants continued to launch attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas in last day despite the agreements of the Trilateral Contact Group on ceasefire during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded as a result of the enemy shelling. He was immediately taken to a hospital and provided with the necessary medical care, the ATO Headquarters press center reported.
As noted, in Donetsk direction, militants fired 82mm mortars and small arms on Ukrainian strongholds outside Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk). Ukrainian troops did not return fire.
In other directions, any violations of the ceasefire regime were not recorded.
