OSCE records more ceasefire violations in Donbas – report

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine recorded more ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and fewer in Luhansk region, compared with the previous reporting period, according to a daily report.

The OSCE SMM informed this in a report issued on January 10, based on information received as of 19:30 on January 9, 2020.

"In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including more explosions (about 70), compared with the previous reporting period (about 30 explosions)," the report says.

The majority of ceasefire violations, including the majority of explosions, were recorded in areas north and north-north-east of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk).

"In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded fewer ceasefire violations, including fewer explosions (eight), compared with the previous reporting period (about 65 explosions)," the report notes.

The majority of ceasefire violations, including all explosions, were recorded in areas west of Holubivske (non-government-controlled, 51km west of Luhansk).
