At the end of March, the Canadian government said it would reduce the number of Operation UNIFIER personnel in Ukraine from 200 to 60 due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. All training activities of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine were suspended due to the spread of COVID-19.
Canada sends a group of about 200 CAF members to Ukraine every six months.
