Invaders use 120mm mortars, grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian positions in Donbas

Over the past day, November 27, the armed formations of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire in Donbas six times, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters reports.

"In the area of responsibility of the operational and tactical group ‘East’, Russian-led forces used an under-barrel grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); a heavy machine gun – outside Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); and a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher – in the area of Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk)," the report reads.

In the area of responsibility of the operational and tactical group ‘North’, the enemy provoked Ukrainian soldiers with an under-barrel grenade launcher and small arms near the village of Shumy (41km north of Donetsk). In addition, the invaders opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk).

Ukrainian servicemen did not use weapons in response to fire provocations of the enemy.

Today, November 28, the enemy has used small arms, grenade launchers of various systems, and 120mm and 82mm mortars near Vodiane. No casualties among Ukrainian servicepersons have been reported.
