Invaders fire small arms at SMM mini-UAV in Donetsk region
This was said in the SMM’s daily report dated July 6, 2021.
“While positioned on the northern edge of Tavrycheske (non-government-controlled, 76km south of Donetsk) to conduct an announced mini-UAV flight, the Mission heard 52 shots of small-arms fire at an assessed distance of 700m southwest, assessed as aimed at the UAV, which was flying about 700m south-west of the SMM’s position," the report says.
The SMM landed the UAV and left the area.
In addition, the Mission’s freedom of movement continued to be restricted, including at a checkpoint of the armed formations in Khreshchatytske (formerly Krasnoarmiiske) in southern Donetsk region. Its UAVs again experienced instances of GPS signal interference.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna Yevhenii Tsymbaliuk called on Russia to stop supplying electronic warfare systems to the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine.
