OSCE records over 400 ceasefire violations in eastern Ukraine over weekend
"In Donetsk region, from the evenings of 10 to 12 September, the Mission recorded 306 ceasefire violations, including 166 explosions (17 impacts and 149 undetermined)," the report reads.
The majority of ceasefire violations occurred around the Donetsk Filtration Station (DFS) (15km north of Donetsk), in areas north-west of Shyroka Balka (non-government-controlled, 34km north-east of Donetsk), at northerly directions of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk) and inside and near the disengagement area near Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk).
In Luhansk region, from the evenings of 10 to 12 September, the SMM recorded 100 ceasefire violations, including six undetermined explosions.
The majority of ceasefire violations occurred in areas south-east of Popasna (government-controlled, 69km west of Luhansk).
Following agreement reached at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on 22 July 2020 regarding measures to strengthen the ceasefire, from 00:01 on 27 July 2020 until the end of the reporting period, the Mission has recorded at least 57,058 ceasefire violations in both Donetsk and Luhansk regions (including 16,034 explosions, 10,971 projectiles in flight, 270 muzzle flashes, 225 illumination flares and at least 29,558 bursts and shots).
