Production of Bayraktar UCAVs could be located in Ukraine
“Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran has met with Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar Makina Turkish company, which manufactures Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles for Ukraine. During the meeting, the production of vehicles commissioned by the Ukrainian side and the possibility of accelerating the implementation of previously reached agreements were discussed. In addition, the possibility and prospects of locating the production of Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles in the territory of Ukraine were considered,” the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.
As reported, on December 14, 2020, minister Taran signed agreements with Turkish companies on technology transfer and production of corvettes and unmanned combat aerial vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The signing ceremony took place during the visit of the Turkish delegation led by President of Defense Industries of the Republic of Turkey İsmail Demir.
